Parents' Arts Visit Greenwich

Category: PAS

In October, Parents’ Arts received a guided architectural tour of the City’s most charming ‘village’ and former Royal hunting park by award-winning London guide, Viv Haxby.

Boarding the Thames Clipper at Embankment, the group took in the Capital’s wealth of iconic waterfront views before landing at Greenwich Pier. On arrival, tea and coffee was served at the National Maritime Museum’s Parkside Café, a just reminder of Greenwich’s naval history and the impact it had on local architecture.

Sights on the tour included The Queen’s House, Tudor Palace of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, the Royal Observatory, Sir Christopher Wren’s fabulous Naval Hospital, and Hawksmoor’s St Alfege’s, breaking for lunch at Greenwich Market.
