The Parents’ Arts Society has two main aims. One of these is to arrange a number of social occasions to enable parents to meet each other and members of the Common Room in a relaxed and congenial atmosphere.
With this in mind, we organize events such as London walks, visits to art galleries, opera evenings, wine tastings, theatre trips and a formal May Ball. There are also long weekend trips to destinations such as the art galleries of Florence and, more recently, trips to Prague, Madrid, and Greece.
Our other aim is to give parents a chance to use the superb educational and cultural facilities of the School. Lectures are arranged on subjects encompassing the Sciences and Politics, as well as the Arts and Evening Classes are also a regular part of our termly programme.
We currently has over 1100 members and the vast majority of Tonbridge parents join the Society – while many decide to stay on as members after their sons have left. We very much look forward to welcoming you to our events.
